Both sides had to settle for a share of the points in a very entertaining draw at An Screabán. It was Milford that settled quickest putting the Gweedore defence on the backfoot. Despite their dominance it was the home team that almost took the lead through Eamon McGee. Christy McCafferty and PJ Hagen had great opportunities for Milford but the chances were spurned.

In the second half Gweedore upped the tempo. Eamon McGee and Fionan Diver were both denied by Caolan McGettigan in the Milford goal. With time running out both teams had chances to win the game. Christy McCafferty headed over with the goal at his mercy and PJ Hagen saw his effort saved by Christopher Sweeney. At the other end Odhran Mac Niallais saw his shot from 6 yards saved by the keeper.
At the end of the day a draw was a fair result in an entertaining encounter. Best for Milford Caolán McGettigan and PJ Hagan. Best for Gweedore Fionan Diver and Jamie Boyle.
