A brace of goals by Fionnan Diver gave the home side a deserved victory. Curragh took the lead on twenty minutes with a ball in from the wing being finished by Ryan Carlin. Gweedore were back on terms on the half hour with Johnny Mc Ginty heading home from a corner.
The second half was a close affair with the defences on top. Ten minutes into the second half Colin Ferry carried the ball down the wing before crossing for Fionnan Diver to hammer home from close range. On seventy minutes Jamie Boyle played him in and Diver again found the target. Diver was unlucky not to claim a hat-trick when he shot over the bar following a flowing attacking move. Best for Gweedore were Diver, Jamie Boyle and Paul Rua McBride. A team performance from Curragh.
