Gweedore Celtic U16 started after the Christmas break with a home game against Swilly Mariners in arctic conditions at the screaban.
With a layer of snow on the pitch the match started with both sides trying to come to terms with the surface resulting in a lot of players on the ground as much as standing. It was even at 0-0 at half time, then in the second half Conor Mc Cafferty took charge, breaking forward and opened the scoring. Celtic scored a second with Kyron Glennon finding the net.
Being the first game back after the break and the conditions bad the match was not the prettiest to watch but Celtic did enough to secure the three points
